Book Signing: Dr. Dan held a book signing in the Community Center with the whole town invited. He spoke for a few minutes, had a Q & A, then signed the books with much gratitude. We'd like to say thank you to the people of Philipsburg, especially, Mickey Dooling for his efforts in bringing this community together.
Thursday, June 24, 2010, we visited Glacier National Park and I drove all the way to the top of of Logan's Pass on the Mountain. It was a bit scary driving on such a narrow and winding path up the side of such a mountain, but God protected us and the scenes were splendid.
Then, I decided to get my feet into this icy cold water . . . then back to driving up the mountain on the "Highway to the Sun" . . .
We got about half way to the top and were asked to stop because ice and snow had caused damage to the narrow road and was being repaired. We were stopped by this waterfall and I was too scared to look over the edge, but I did collect some glacier water in a bottle to drink while we waited . . it was so refreshing.
We finally made it to the top and we got to play in the snow . . . Dan and I tried selling snow balls to the cars behind us :)

Montana was so amazing. We traveled the hills, mountains, and valleys and there were (at times) no road signs, Mickey would go by lights of small towns as landmarks to make sure we were driving the right dirt path over the correct mountain. He said that at times some of the old ranchers will get lost on these roads and end up 80 miles from home. On our way home, I saw a herd of buffalo, free range cattle, elk, deer, etc. We stopped and ate huckleberries, elk tenderlion and buffalo meat. The elk wasn't my favorite, but I loved the buffalo meat and huckleberries. Montana was more than we could have ever imagined. Sad leaving today, but now we are headed to Oregan. We have stopped in Spokane, Washington tonight. We love you, Mickey!

The ' Lone Rider ' crossed our path as we were leaving Montana.
He represented Warriors Watch.
This Lone Rider welcomed Dan back from his Vietnam War experience.
This Lone Rider welcomed Dan back from his Vietnam War experience.
He gave Dan a medalion to commemorate the occasion.
The Lone Rider stated, "This welcome home is long over due."
The Lone Rider stated, "This welcome home is long over due."
Dan was moved by this gesture.
As he rode away, we wondered, who was this masked man?
